Sorry about the long delay. I along with other staff were busy or rather not available and had to get real life things sorted. How is the progress of the 5D's series? It hasn't changed at all since the last update - mainly because, as I mentioned, some of the staff we‘re not available, now that that is sorted we are working really hard to get ourselves organised and release (even though I may go on vacation next week)... But first, as I don’t want this to be a burden we are going to try and finish off the last 6 episodes of the GX series. Translation is done ovbiously, by justdoinatest and Horoko (OP-ED) long ago, and is currently at timing, along with the Karaoke SFX (OP-ED) which I‘ve nearly completed.

In other news, DSS has left the team (long ago actually) in addition to GX_ST mainly because of the leader’s personal reasons. But I hope them good luck as a new team, and NOT see other groups/people butcher them when they are trying really hard to be one; like releasing popular animes under their name without their authority. I know exactly who is/are the culprit and seriously that is VERY low and disgraceful.

Anyhow, our team is now comprised of people from ray=out/Gekkostate, SD Project and Freelancers. NebsTV is also there but not currently as you probably already know with justdoinatest's leave and focus on real life aka studies. We will continue to release from where we left off as soon as we get the GX's series out of the way. Note: I nor any other member from this team did NOT authorise GX_ST to put our name under their Episode 2 and 3 release. Yes, the timing was by us, but a mention on their site or credit on the anime would have been fine. I hope this does not bring any confusion that will release in MP4 format for the 5D's series; H.264 MKV Softsubs Only (with the GX series as an exception).

P.S. I will be going on a one (1) week vacation this coming week, aka 4th of August, so we will be on a temporarily haitus status, but as soon as my return we will definately have a whole bunch of releases to put out before the 21st raw release of the 5D's series.

So we haven't updated in a while and things have been without word. First off, I'd like to say, TnKP no longer has their high quality .ts raws as the capper has stopped providing for them and for many other groups as well. This means in terms of quality (as some people state mkv is better than avi/mp4/etc) we can achieve it which will fulfil one part of our objective. Our other objective is to fansub all 5D's episodes from start to finish as stated long time ago, thus need dedicated translators (slow is okay, just need to keep providing).

Now onto why the progress hasn't shown much movement since the last update. Since I do the TS, I haven't been much active as I have had some real life issues to deal with. But for the past 3 days I have returned and am active (somewhat) suprisingly because I am very lazy. Below is my current ongoing anime schedule for fansub work I've yet to do or currently trying to finish asap, so hence the delay for YGO. But no worries they will all be released together (episode 02 and 03) since our encoder has a fast quad cored pc, :D.

1st: Please refer to the previous post for the status. 2nd: We have finally acquired (or rather asked) for the replacement(s) of the position(s) we lost from GX_ST's leave. So please be sure to thank him via IRC if you notice his pseudonym (won't be revealed yet) on the credits.

Also, we have decided to drop from doing MP4's in general. If you want MP4, make sure to download from GX_ST as it seems they will be doing it in (no point having two groups using the same scripts and releasing in the same format). This is not 100% confirmed, but due to several reasons, namely to the fact we have no distribution team and I have to do everything (in terms of the distro), thus don't intend or want to seed/provide via IRC the same file in two different containers (another reason is the cost to distribute the same file in different formats). MP4 was originally what we wanted to release in, but as more and more people are switching to softsubs, and how it is so beneficial when it comes to v2's and in general, we decided to use it as our primary container.

And to those that are wondering, our Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX Episode 175-180 will be in H.264 MP4. The raws are 640x480 and aren't as great as the 5D's (overall). XviD/AVI is out of the question for us, not to mention they are slowly becoming outdated and not even used in the consumer world. To get the maximum quality from the raws we will use H.264, and MP4 is the best format (my opinion) for non-widescreen files.

Updates:
We are still looking for more translators! We need them for Episode 05+. We are at the moment pacing ourselves from releasing Episode 02-04 because we don't want to be in the state when we have nothing to release and await Translators/Translations. Hence, the delay we are taking. On that note, we are looking for Typesetters/Karaokers or anybody who in general is able to make Attack Effects with Aegisub. Aside from that we are also needing Timers and Translation Checkers for future use. So if you have the experience or know how to do it, come by IRC (contact Atem) or use email. Make sure to have samples of your work ready to show, which is recommended to be in video form either downloadable or stream on such sites like YouTube, Veoh.com, etc.

You probably have noticed, but if you didn't GX_ST has decided to go solo because of reasons I honestly don't know. With that we lose any AFX we might use, any future Karaokes we might deal with and any special Typesetting which I have no knowledge with, but worry not we will still be working on it with or without those and put out the best quality, just need the time. In other news, I‘ve started working on Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX Episode 175-180 and once I finish dealing with the translations we will try and get them out as soon as possible. And yes, to those that was curious, I am better now. I don’t have that blood coughs or fever.

Long story short. Previous host suspended me then closed my account due to reasons which are all their fault. I lost tons of raws (to be precise about 50 eps - equivalent to hundreds of dollars) of animes for other groups, Ouch, yeah, I know. Luckily, not anything YGO related which I had made a back-up of. Phew. *feels relieved...*

We will be fully back up and functional very soon. I will try and get the back-up data which is not from the mainframe somehow “installed” or integrated on here shortly or in the next few days, at least with that opportunity I get to work on the site a bit more and make things look better for you. DIrect Downloads will not be coming (sorry, if you are one of the few who rely on it and really wanted to use it). We will now only provide our work via BT and IRC. Direct Downloads on a shared hosting is tough on many levels for web hosts and this is the main reason we can't afford to do it. Although, If you own a VPS or semi-/dedicated server and could provide or do Direct Downloads hosting for us, make sure to contact me via email at jonnyquesty2k@gmail.com and we can make things happen. I might in the future host direct downloads via a VPS but not anytime soon. Really sorry for those that wanted it. And if you‘re wondering, “Are we still going to do PSP Encodes?” < Yes. As soon as we find an encoder experienced enough that could.

Laslty, even though we never did do this openly we are from now on forced to do it to pay for certain costs. We are accepting and wanting donations from you to help us keep this site, the ftp’s (YGO will be hosted on this server) on which several raws/scripts are temporarily hosted on and for us to distribute to you we need the servers to help distribute them, aka the bots on IRC and the fast BT Seeding. One that will help us pay for site related costs, aka the host, domains (if needed - not needed at this time), and others - any extras will go towards the second system. The other button will be for distribution, our ftp's and anything else we could do to help provide to you, aka a certain probable future Direct Downloads. 1st button will be for payments that are seasonal and you can help pay for anytime. 2nd button will be a monthly thing - I don't think we will be able to bring releases on a monthly basis, because of the lack of translators, but we will try our best.
